Difficult labour

Welcome

Sometimes things get tricky

This point you can attack with your finger nail – and MAY help.

             Get your fingernails in.

1 – First step

With all matters body related – do think nutrients and flows.

INGREDIENTS (to run the body) More on the importance of nutrients is fond here (CLICK)
Always check mum’s hydration (should be at least sipping water- and with some salt/minerals in ideally) topical magnesium on her body all through this – as it will assist the distress/cramping, and make all body functions easier) plus nutrients – if her body does not want  she will reject  but often more ingredients – in this time is what makes such a difference .

FLOWS/CIRCULATION
Baby positioning – what you want – not (as often is – OP – occiput to mum’s spine.

Bub ideally is coming out with face to her spine.

Sunny side up will slow a labour, make it far longer – meaning she is having to wait till baby’s head is totally molded (they are designed to) to fit through as you need 2 cm more then you have if baby is presenting with occiput to mum’s spine – baby needs ideally to be for most women- lying on her left side – facing the right – kicks felt there.

To move baby

Sacral moxa fan whilst she is leaning over  or at least use Rebozo – sifting gently.  .
This has before moved a frank breech in labour to head down and easily birthed – 45 minutes  to flip whilst in hospital with a trusted midwife).

2 – Second step

Options – things are torrid . . .

That DU YIN Point bottom right of the chart above – may be easiest- esp if she is vomiting, (maybe is moving very fast – we still need her calm) not coping with pain. – ASK – why is there pain? Need to undo that – something is stuck . . .
We HAVE to sort out baby positioning and also open the baby gate/ pelvis.

Calming her is first step – and the magnesium, water, touch is the first step – also bring her back. Into her body.

The point Sp 3 on side of foot is needed now.

Run your finger down from the side of the foot towards the toes.

You will get stopped by the bone.

It is where a bunion may appear.

You will fall into a small depression

(Most acupuncture points are in holes . .)
This is not likely to be sore. It brings people back when they are ‘losing it’ – as in about to faint/ fade out. Rub it /press hard.

Should get her back. Now there is work to do.

She CAN do this – but she needs to focus, – on opening . .
Hence all the charts and the pre birth work in the What Dads Can Do (CLICK)  suite.

Stress – undo . . see the Stuck Liver Qi Release (SLQR) and all that is on the chart – calm mum down.

In the midst of labour – maybe only the SLQR is possible – but save this for after – the charts are part of the Easy Pregnancy Resources package here (CLICK)

After birth – highly important . . .

And helps anyone.  .

You could stop and try it on yourself – right now . .

3 – Third step

Ideally you have pricklies (acup needles) with you. It would then be Liv 3 deep insertion to almost Ki 1 – do not go through the skin on sole though)  And Ht 7 – that is magic. .and she must be sitting forwards – the loo seat facing the cistern is perfect – also helps opening the birthing area. In between contractions, get her off – by standing on one leg and swinging the other behind her – that will allow pelvic opening  and is easier than walking up and down stairs side on – thigh you could instead), – but not with needles in).

If you wish to know more – I have different levels of classes being made up to assist in teach anyone – any level. This is HOME HELP. we now need to be come a lot more self responsible and not beholden to others holding the keys to our easy living.
